Digital Planning Tools

We are expanding how communities engage with hazard mitigation planning through interactive digital tools. These can include StoryMaps, web maps, dashboards, and community engagement platforms that make complex risk information easier to understand and more accessible to the public. For example, Synergy developed an interactive StoryMap for Mendocino County to communicate hazard risk and vulnerability information, and has supported Boulder County with a centralized digital engagement platform for its HMP update. These tools can support public input, improve risk communication, and help keep the planning process accessible and useful beyond traditional meetings and static documents.
